Christmas 2010:
Christmas is the Due Date for Mimi's new cabaret project, The Paris Collection, which she is currently creating with pianist, Barbara Meyer. Most of the tunes are new, though one or two will be resurrected from the Seton archives. The lyrics, written in French (one or two exceptions) range from politics to love, and the musical styles range from theatre to jazz to pop.
CDs in the works:
Mimi is creating 2 CDs currently. The first is a relaxing meditation music CD, with vocal improvisations influenced by her new love of Indian chant, to be recorded with percussionist M.B. Gordy (Rita Coolidge Group) in L.A. in September, 2010.
The second is a Visualization CD of the visualizations Mimi created for her work with actors and singers, or modified from something she learned in the 3 worlds she has explored: Performing Arts, Buddhist meditation practice, and Psychology. She has adjusted them so they are completely non-sectarian and can be useful to anyone. To be recorded this fall in CT.
